The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated Pi Upsilon Lambda Chapter in conjunction with the Alpha Phi Alpha Pi Upsilon Lambda Charitable Foundation will host its 4th Annual Caregivers’ Symposium – “#MenWhoCare” on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 11am to 2pm at Oxon Hill High School, 6701 Leyte Drive, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. This event is being co-sponsored by AARP.
The event will feature local (county and state) and Federal health officials that are experts in the area of caregiving. Attendees should come prepared to learn more about what is required to provide quality caregiving to or for your loved ones. At the event, a panel will be featured with representatives from AARP, Prince George’s County Family Services Division, Anne Arundel County Aging Services, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Mental Health Association of Maryland, Veterans Affairs and legal professionals who will tackle issues such as estate planning, evaluating quality care facilities, navigating family dynamics and other items related to providing caregiving.
